You can often tell a really good restaurant by whether or not people of that ethnicity are eating at the restaurant. But that standard, this is a good restaurant. You'll find plenty of native people eating there. And the food you get is authentic. It tastes like home cooking. Of course, the fry bread is perfectly done and always made fresh. It's not very fancy, but it is pretty special

The one thing that makes this place amazing.. is the fact that it's only open a couple of hours a day.. that speaks volumes that they haven't been changed by the changing times.. the quality of there food speaks for itself.. might not look like much on the outside.. but it's what's inside that counts... RIGHT !! try it you won't be disappointed.. BEST EVR..

I used to go down to Kayenta all the time and missed Navajo tacos so I'm glad I found this place. Genuinely authentic Navajo tacos. Get some of the sweet fry bread with the honey and cinnamon, so good. Hours are a little wonky so just plan for lunch cause I think they're only open from 11-3 or something, and if you can, go on a Wednesday cause their special that day is the best.

This place is AWESOME! It may not look like the most inviting building when you pull up to it, but don't let that dissuade you. I haven't had a Navajo taco in so long and was so happy to find this place that has apparently been here longer than I've been alive! The lady that helped us was so nice. The shredded beef Navajo taco was our favorite and the sweet bread was so yummy. We will definitely be back!

The food is delicious and priced just right. Betty is so friendly and helpful. Coming for her alone would be worth it.

If you like Navajo tacos, you'll like the food here. A Navajo taco is a Navajo taco - you know exactly what you're going to get. (In case you were wondering, this restaurant isn't owned by Native Americans.)

The place itself is rough - I hope it's clean. But the service and the food is spectacular. It was absolutely packed at lunch and those ladies were going hard to turn the orders around quickly. Bickering a little, rolling their eyes at each other- I loved it. The fry bread is just perfect and served with anything and anyway you like it. Well priced. We'll keep going back to try everything.

Navajo Hogan is an amazing family owned fry bread taco restaurant. They have been in business since the 1980s. The owner was so incredibly hospitable. He patiently explained the menu to us and recommended specials for the day. We ordered: - Red Chili Tacos - Blue Corn Tacos - Dessert honey butter fry bread On Wednesday, the special comes with a combo that includes the taco, dessert fry bread and a drink. It is such great value that cannot be beat anywhere else. The fry bread taco shell was fluffy and crunchy. The toppings were fresh. The meat and beans were flavorful and savory. Such an amazing lunch experience.

A must try if you're in SLC. Generally we found the food in SLC something you could find in California and typically better. But this is one thing I don't know of that you can find. Essentially it's a taco/tostada on a flatbread that's fried. The flatbread is super good. A little crispy but mostly chewy and delicious. The toppings are not anything special but the uniqueness of it made it fun to eat. The original is basically a beef taco type. The vegetarian was pretty good which is sometimes rare. I had the green chili which was probably the most flavorful of the fillings. It was a big hit with our kids too. You can order online although they have a slightly limited option online as they have a few specials from time to time. They were super nice and glad we visited. Definitely worth going if you're visiting SLC.
